Adam Weist
Hi! I’m Adam, an adventure and travel photographer with a passion for documenting diverse cultures and dramatic landscapes from around the world. I’m based at 8000’ in the mountains outside Boulder, Colorado, but my love for photography has taken me across the globe. After studying Economics at NYU, I’ve lived and worked in San Francisco and Los Angeles, all while developing my photography career alongside day jobs in finance and tech.
Over the past decade, my travels have taken me to 39 of America’s 63 national parks, 50 countries, and nearly every US state. While many of my early days were spent photographing California’s High Sierra and other wild regions of the American West, I’ve since had the opportunity to explore and photograph the deserts of Egypt & Tunisia, the jungles of Central America, East Asia’s bustling megacities, Alaska’s remote Brooks Range, the alpine landscapes of the Peruvian Andes and Patagonia, the chaotic streets of India, and many more exhilarating places.
I find inspiration in exploring dramatic, remote locations and immersing myself in local cultures, capturing images meant to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones, explore, and create their own unique experiences. Nothing brings me greater joy than hopping off a plane in a new country with no plans—just a camera and a sense of adventure.
